WYATT DOWNEY IS A WRITER, DIRECTOR, AND CINEMATOGRAPHER AT THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY
Wyatt was born in Tucson, Arizona, and has lived in three countries and several U.S. states. He eventually settled in Columbus at age 12. His passion for film began early and deepened in 6th grade when he started taking film classes. Since then, he has produced multiple short films and served as Executive Producer for his high school’s Broadcast and Media Production program, The Juice.
At The Ohio State University, Wyatt continues to pursue filmmaking through the Moving-Image Production Program. He also works as a Student Supervisor for the B1G+ Network, where he takes on roles such as director, producer, technical director, camera operator, Xpression operator, and replay operator.
Wyatt is proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Final Cut Pro. He typically shoots on Sony cameras but also has experience with Panasonic and Canon DSLRs. Additionally, he is skilled in using Ross Video broadcasting tools, including Xpression and Carbonite.
Wyatt is currently seeking internships in digital media and hopes to build a career in either film production or sports broadcasting.
